AppDirect, a San Francisco, CA-based cloud service marketplace company, raised $9m in Series B funding.
The round was led by existing investor iNovia Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow in the global cloud computing market.
Concurrently, AppDirect acquired Standing Cloud, a Boulder, Colorado-based provider of cloud management services, such as automated software packaging and orchestration that enable application deployment and management.
Founded in 2009, The company has deployed services with a range of cloud partners, including Amazon, Rackspace, Savvis, IBM, and others. Its catalog of integrated software features more than 100 applications, including Drupal, Magento, SugarCRM, and WordPress. It has received $10m in funding.
Led by Daniel Saks, president and co-CEO, AppDirect provides a platform that connects businesses, brands, and developers through a global network of partner marketplaces (including Staples, Deutsche Telekom, TeliaSonera, Rackspace, Swisscom, Appcelerator, etc.).
