Woofound Closes $2M Funding

Woofound, a Baltimore, Md.-based developer of a personality platform that provides recommendations, closed a more than $2m funding round.

Investors included The Propel Baltimore Fund, managed by Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), The Abell Foundation, the France-Merrick Foundation, Heritage Capital, Frank Bonsal, Jr, Vince Talbert, and Charles “Chip” Morris.

The company intends to use the funds to grow the team.

Led by Dan Sines, CEO and Co-Founder, Woofound develops an image-based personality assessment platform that delivers personalized recommendations leveraging psychology with technology. Applications include higher education, workforce development and consumer mobile application industries.
The company currently offers:
– Compass, a career and academic guidance application, which is currently being used at eight college and university career centers, as well as three regional government workforce development programs; and
– Explore, a consumer-facing mobile app, which offers suggestions of entertainment experiences nationwide.
