Safaba Translation Solutions Closes First Private Equity Financing

Safaba Translation Solutions LLC, a Pittsburgh, PA-based provider of Enterprise Machine Translation (EMT) solutions to global enterprises, closed a first private equity financing round.

The amount of the funding was not disclosed.

The round was led by Newlin Investment Company with additional funding from Innovation Works (IW), an investor in seed- and early-stage technology companies.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop its Enterprise Machine Translation technology.

Led by Alon Lavie, Chief Executive Officer, Safaba provides a platform that allows global enterprises to automate translation of their digital content, which includes websites, marketing materials, software products, technical documentation and customer engagement communications.
The technology adapts to each company’s unique language, terminology and vocabulary preferences, styling guidelines and formatting rules.
Safaba is a Carnegie Mellon University spin-off company.
