Pelican Imaging, a Mountain View, California-based developer of an array camera technology for mobile devices, extended its recent Series C round with funding from new investor Panasonic Corporation.
Pelican announced the first closing of its Series C financing with Qualcomm Ventures, Nokia Growth Partners, Globespan Capital Partners, Granite Ventures, InterWest Partners and IQT in May 2013 (read here).
Founded in 2008 and led by CEO and President Chris Pickett, Pelican Imaging has developed an array camera that provides depth information of the captured scene, allowing users to refocus after the fact, create 3D models, and perform more edits.
