Outracks Technologies, an Oslo, Norway-based developer of a hybrid graphics engine and compiler, raised additional funding from Trond Arne Aas.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Aas, who is the former CEO of Funcom and a serial entrepreneur, also joined the company’s Board of Directors.
Led by Anders Lassen, founder and CEO, Outracks Technologies is developing Uno, a hybrid graphics engine and compiler which makes GPU-accelerated technology reusable, customizable and accessible to a new segment of developers, artists and content authors, with use cases ranging from traditional games and apps, to next-generation web content, advertisements, interactive designs and presentations, to academic and industrial visualization.
The company, which plans to release a beta version of its first commercial product in 2013, had already raised NOK3m in seed funding from Springfondet in November 2012 (read here).
