Mover Raises $1M in Seed Funding

Mover, an Edmonton, Canada-based data transfer streamlining platform, raised $1m in seed funding.

Backers included Double M Partners, Yaletown Venture Partners, Amplify, Medra Capital, as well as angels Jarl Mohn, Rick Barry of Quant Ventures, and Dennis Phelps.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to grwo operations,

Founded in 2011 by Eric Warnke, CEO, Mover provides cloud service for software developers to build and scale applications that need to move big data between clouds.
They can use Mover to change cloud-storage providers, back up websites or files.
The company, a Growlab alumni, supports Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, etc.
