Genesis Financial Solutions, a Portland, OR-based provider of point of sale financing for customers with less than perfect credit, closed a $40m round of capital.
The investment came from an undisclosed NYC-based alternative asset management fund.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow in 2013 and beyond by expanding their financing options to a wider variety of merchants, as well as health and dental providers.
Led by CEO Bruce Weinstein, Genesis Financial Solutions provides access to financing to consumers with imperfect credit through partnerships with retailers, healthcare organizations and educational institutions who want to serve more customers and increase sales.
