Freeosk, Inc., a St. Joseph, Mich. and Chicago-based data driven marketing services company, raised $6m in Series A funding.
Backers included private equity firm Beringea and Chicago-based First Analysis.
The company intends to use the funds to purchase capital equipment, fund additional staffing, install its system in a major national retailer, and provide further product development.
Led by President Matt Eichorn, Freeosk provides a proprietary marketing services platform that offers consumers a way to receive free samples of new products via a network of interactive kiosks that automatically distribute them. The company, which has made pilot programs in several retail outlets, is contracted to introduce the concept nationwide later this year.
