Entangled Media Corp., a Santa Monica, CA-based maker of a personal cloud service, raised $3.545m in seed funding.
Backers included Crosslink Capital, Draper Associates, PROfounders Capital, Lowercase Capital, Michael Birch, Tekton Ventures and Knight & Bishop, as well as angels Kamran Pourzanjani, Brian Lee, Brad Jones and others.
The company intends to use the funds to open up their platform to others via an API.
younity allows consumers to create a personal cloud for all files and media libraries (documents, music, photos and video on all your devices), unifying multiple iTunes accounts, across both Apple and Microsoft platforms. It accesses all files on all devices from iPhone or iPad, without syncing or storage limits and without configuration or management and allows file sharing with other younity users and Facebook friends.
Co-founded by CEO Erik Caso and CTO Mike Abraham, Entangled Media also has offices in Boulder. It is hiring.
