Quartzy Raises $4M in Series A Financing

Quartzy, a Palo Alto, California-based free lab management platform, raised $4m in Series A financing.

The round was led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from David Sacks, Jeremy Stoppelman, Sam Altman, Sreeram Veeragandham, Lerer Ventures and others.

The company intends to use the new capital to hire new people, refine some features on its website, and develop a mobile offering.

Led by Jayant Kulkarni, founder and CEO, Quartzy allows labs to host their inventories in the cloud and submit order requests to lab managers online.
Free to use, the company works with suppliers to host their catalogs to ensure that all relevant technical information is accessible to its members.
