Propeller Raises $1.25M in Funding

Propeller, a San Francisco, CA-based web platform to create and update apps, raised $1.25m in funding.

According to TechCrunch (read here), backers included Andreessen Horowitz, ffAngel, Menlo Ventures, Rothenberg Ventures, Foundation Capital, Max Levchin, Ashton Kutcher, Scott Banister, Keith Rabois, Lee Linden, Jason Portnoy, and Alfred Mandel.

Founded by Brian Rowen and Clay Allsopp, Propeller allows users to create mobile apps (not HTML5) on Android and iOS via a drag-and-drop experience.
