Oxford Genetics Ltd., an Oxford-UK-based biotechnology company, received £150k in funding.
Venture capital fund manager Mercia Fund Management provided the funding.
The company intends to use the funds to build its e-commerce website, and for new product development.
Led by CEO Dr Ryan Cawood, Oxford Genetics develops SnapFast™ – a system that simplifies the purchase of synthetic DNA molecules (plasmids). The company currently provides human, mouse and bacterial DNA and through the funding will soon be able to offer insect, plant and yeast DNA.
