Mangatar Releases Open Beta for Dengen Chronicles

Mangatar has just released the Open Beta for Dengen Chronicles, its new trading card game set in the Japanese manga world.

For the Milan-Italy based startup, which is the winner of the Italian Startup of the Year Prize in 2012 (read here), this new product represents the opportunity to compete with the major international players in the field.

By combining the dynamics of trading card games and role playing games, Dengen Chronicles allows players to customize each card in detail to improve their own skills and evolve. The game presents an innovative fight mode which adopts the representation
of fights in the form of manga comics and the chronological storage of all events within a custom album, in a sort of comics timeline.

The company backed by dPixel (read here) and led by Andrea Postiglione, Raffaele Gaito (the guy behind the Facebook page “Frasi da Startup“) and Enrico Rossomando, among others, already plans a next major release of the game, which is now free and available for PC and Mac.
