GSOUND Raises $400K in Seed Funding

Axwave Inc., the Palo Alto, CA-based creator of GSOUND, a mobile app that enables users to identify and purchase movies, music and TV shows, raised $400k in seed funding.

The round was led by unnamed angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to enhance the GSOUND app, which was launched in beta version on iOS some weeks ago.

Led by CEO Damián A. Scavo, Axwave leverages an audio fingerprint technology able to identify music and other media. Future versions of GSOUND will integrate improved movie and TV show recognition as well.
