GreenLancer.com Closes $500K Series A Financing

GreenLancer.com, a Detroit, MI-based online solar energy engineering company, raised $222,500 in funding and closed a $500k Series A financing.

Investors include Bizdom (Detroit), Start Garden (Grand Rapids), Blue Water Angels (Midland), Northern Michigan Angels (Traverse City) and an undisclosed private investor.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow.

Launched in 2011 by Michael Sharber, Chief Executive Officer, GreenLancer.com combines cloud computing with a national network of green energy engineering freelancers (greenlancers)  to deliver services including online technical documents, engineering services and financial modeling support for contractors’ use in proposing, developing and designing alternative energy systems (see how it works here).

GreenLancer.com hs worked in 32 states and six countries spanning four continents. Clients included General Motors, DTE Energy, Occidental Oil and the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Armed Forces in Afghanistan.
