DoveConviene, a Bologna and Sestu, Cagliari-Italy-based digital platform for leaflets and catalogs, raised €3.5m in funding.
The round, which was closed in April 2013, was led by Principia SGR (via Principia II). In conjunction with the funding, Stefano Portu, joined Alessandro Palmieri as co-CEO, business and products. Professor Michele Costabile, professor of Marketing and Management, LUISS, Rome, and Vice President of Principia SGR, joined as Chairman.
The company is using the funds to grow in Italy and scale abroad. It is already present in Spain.
Over 2m consumers currently use DoveConviene to discover leaflets and catalogs from the major brands, which are presented in a georeferenced way. The platform allows users to select the product category, to monitor the nearest offers, and to create personalized shopping alerts. It also features a free app forAndroid and Apple.
