CloudVelocity Closes $13M Series B Funding

CloudVelocity, a Santa Clara, CA-based provider of automated cloud migration and disaster recovery software specifically developed for the operating demands of existing, multi-tier apps, closed $13m a Series B funding.

The round was led by Third Point Ventures, with participation from Pelion Venture Partners and existing investor Mayfield Fund.

The company plans to use the funding to further accelerate its growth.

Led by Rajeev Chawla, chief executive officer, CloudVelocity provides hybrid cloud software which makes Amazon Web Services (AWS) an extension of enterprise data centers and allows enterprises to run their existing and new Linux and Windows multi-tier and multi-system apps without modification in the AWS.
The software gives data center teams the ability to scale, protect and secure their distributed apps and services into and between clouds.
