BabyList Raises $620K in Seed Funding

BabyList, a San Francisco, CA-based online baby registry that allows users to add items from any store onto one registry, raised $620K in seed funding.

Backers included 500 Startups, Okapi Venture Capital, Altair Capital, Chris Messina, Mike Greenfield and Mike Seiman.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow through customer acquisition and the development of new features, including mobile platform.

Founded by former Amazon.com software developer Natalie Gordon, BabyList provides an online baby registry that works like Pinterest and allows users to add items from any store.
The company just introduced the Product Finder, a discovery tool that helps expectant parents identify what products to add to their BabyList registry. Initial partners include Land of Nod (division of Crate and Barrel), Giggle, and Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company. It also integrates with the Amazon product API and Etsy API and includes ten pilot Etsy stores.

The company recently graduated from 500 Startups’ fifth accelerator program.
