AppLearn Raises £625K in Funding

AppLearn, a London, and Manchester, UK-based company which makes online tutorials for multinational companies, raised £625k in funding.

Backers included The North West Fund for Venture Capital, managed by Enterprise Ventures, which committed £312,500, as well as Chairman Dr John Cavill, who invested an equal amount.

Founded in 2011 by Mark Barlow and Cavill, AppLearn creates video tutorials which are embedded within software programmes. The multilingual videos can be accessed on demand from any device or location, so staff worldwide can learn at their own convenience.
Clients includes international corporations such as Mercer, Ahlstrom, Goldcorp, Bombardier and Mandarin Oriental, its first client in the Asia-Pacific region.
