Appington Raises $1.2M in Seed Funding

Appington, a Palo Alto startup that develops a platform for boosting mobile app revenue through voice-overs, raised $1.2m in seed funding.

Backers included angels early Facebook operations manager Matthew Welty, Unity Ventures and Tandem Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to continue building its platform.

Founded by Risto Haukioja, Appington provides a voice-over and analytics management platform to make it easy for developers to open voice as a new engagement channel and increase revenue, engagement and retention in mobile apps and games.
For example, if the score of a player drops, the game will send a notification to the SDK that will act a voiceover telling him/her what to do to increase the score at that specific point.

The company is hiring.
