Adzuna Raises £1M in Series A Funding

Adzuna, a London, UK-based classifieds search engine, raised approximately £1.m in Series A funding.

According to a written note, the company “quietly raised” the funds earlier this year from existing backers Index Ventures and The Accelerator Group & Passion Capital.

Founded in 2011 by Andrew Hunter and Doug Monro, formerly of eBay, Gumtree, Qype and Zoopla, Adzuna is a search engine for classified ads which allows users to find jobs, properties or cars. The site has 2m monthly unique visitors, and indexes over 100 million classified ads in 6 countries. The company also launched “Jobsworth”, a tool which aims to predict the salary of any job ad based on its contents and advanced data science techniques.
