UrbanIndo Raises Funding

UrbanIndo, an Indonesian online real estate marketplace, raised a funding round of undisclosed amount.

Backers included Silicon Valley-based Fenox Venture Capital and Japan-based GREE Ventures. East Ventures had invested in a previous round.

The company intends to use the funds to hire new professionals, who will ad to its 11-person team.

Led by Arip Tirta, Co-founder and CEO, UrbanIndo is an online real estate marketplace that aims to simplify the buying and selling of real estate in Indonesia. The platform features map-based search capabilities and market analyses such as neighborhood overview and locality price distribution. Launched in November 2011, UrbanIndo has 17,000 registered users, and 9,000 properties transactions, from 75,000 listings.
