Metacloud, Inc., a Pasadena, Calif.-based provider of on-premise, private cloud as a service, raised $10m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Canaan Partners with participation from existing investors Storm Ventures and AME Cloud Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its pace of innovation and global expansion.
Led by Founder and President Steve Curry and Sean Lynch, CEO, Metacloud provides a SaaS solution that leverages clients’ existing hardware investment to deploy and support on-premise, Carbon|OS OpenStack-based private clouds for large companies. It includes 24×7 proactive support from the company’s in-house cloud team, who monitors, troubleshoots, upgrades, handles capacity planning, and performs bug fixes.
