Ludei, a San Francisco, CA-based platform for mobile developers to create, accelerate and publish HTML5-based apps and games, raised $1.5m in funding.
Bckers included Spanish venture capitalists Kibo Ventures and Vitamina K, as well as other angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its JavaScript/HTML5 engineering team.
Led by CEO Eneko Knorr, Ludei provides more than 6,000 developers with tools to power HTML5 applications. it supports every major mobile and Web market, including new platforms like Ouya and Tizen. To date, more than 500 games have been developed using the Ludei platform including ScribbleMix, Lunch Bug, Bubble Soccer and Rhino Hero.
