258 backers acquired a 14% in the company.
The capital is being used to expand internationally, to recruit additional staff and to ramp up its marketing activity.
Launched in February 2011 by Darren Westlake and Luke Lang, Crowdcube is an equity-based crowdfunding platform that allows UK-based businesses showcase their business’s investment potential to investors and raise finance in return for equity.
Authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (No. 572026), the platform has raised nearly £10m for over 50 businesses since launch.
