COMS Interactive Receives $21M Minority Investment from Summit Partners

COMS Interactive, LLC, a Hudson, Ohio-based provider of a disease management system, received a $21m minority investment from global growth equity firm Summit Partners.

In conjunction with the deal, Mark deLaar, a Managing Director with Summit Partners, will join the COMS Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to expand its post-acute care products and services throughout North America and advance its clinical quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. A portion of the capital will be used for redemption of COMS common stock holdings. Existing investors in COMS include Zapis Capital Group; Next Sparc, LLC; and Portal Capital, LLC.

Led by Edward J. Tromczynski, CEO, COMS Interactive provides Daylight IQ™, a Software as a Service (SaaS) product suite that focuses on managing health and disease profiles of elderly residents requiring post-acute care. It combines business administration, disease management and long-term healthcare knowledge to enable the nursing team to reduce medical errors, and more efficiently address resident healthcare needs.
The company has customers in 38 states.
