Stamplay Raises Angel Funding

According to Italian journalist and blogger Silvio Gulizia (read here his post on Wired.it), Stamplay, a Rome, Italy and London, UK-based startup that is developing a platform to allow ad agencies and designers to quickly build web applications, raised seed funding.

The investment, which came from business angel Lorenzo Barbantini Scanni, brought the total amount raised by the company to date to €150k, including Friends and Family money.
Co-founder Nicola Mattina (read here my recent interview with him) told me that Barbantini Scanni’s investment marks the the first close of a €500k round they plan to complete by the end of the year.

The company is using the funds to continue to expand its development efforts.

Co-founded by Mattina and Giuliano Iacobelli, Stamplay is developing a platform that allows designers and advertising agencies to create web applications without the need to know a programming language or to deal with all the other technical aspects related to production and server administration.

In the same piece, Gulizia also said that Carlo Fornaro joined the company as an advisor.
