ShoppingWish.in Raises Angel Funding

ShoppingWish.in, a Pune, India-based consumer electronics price comparison portal, raised an angel funding of undisclosed amount.

Backers included Sandeep Johri and four other angel investors based in New York and Silicon Valley.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its product development and marketing efforts.

Founded in June 2012 by Sushil Choudhari and Madhur Khandelwal, ShoppingWish.in helps users discover products across online retailers and get the best deals. It provides shopping tools such as price alerts, stock alerts and product reviews.
The company partners with all top online shopping sites like Homeshop18, Croma, Flipkart, Snapdeal among 100+ other retailers and lists more than 3.5 million products, including mobiles, cameras, books, computers, appliances and personal care categories.
The company, which makes revenue on the affiliate model via conversions, plans to launch mobile apps for Android and iOS users in the next quarter of 2013. It also intends to enter into newer segments, including fashion and lifestyle, baby products and home furnishings categories.
