Runscope, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of solutions to monitor API traffic, raised $1.1m in seed funding.
Backers included True Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Lerer Ventures and other angel investors.
Led by CEO John Sheehan and CTO Frank Stratton, Runscope allows developer to inspect, debug and test their API integrations.
Built on Amazon Web Services EC2 and programmed in Python, Runscope allows users to:
– inspect any HTTP API call with complete request and response data;
– execute API calls without having to write any code,
– create a shareable link to give to someone else to view any requests, and
– temporarily open up their local web server to the public internet.
