RuffaloCODY Receives Equity Investment from Summit Partners

RuffaloCODY, a Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based provider of technology-enabled fundraising and enrollment management services for higher education and nonprofit organizations, received an investment from Summit Partners.

The amount of the deal remained undisclosed. In conjunction with the investment, Len Ferrington, a Principal with Summit Partners, will be joining the RuffaloCODY Board along with Managing Director C.J. Fitzgerald.

The company intends to use the proceeds to expand its national and international presence and extend service offerings in both existing and new markets.

Founded in 1991 by Al Ruffalo, Founder and Executive Chairman, and led by Duane Jasper, President and CEO, RuffaloCODY currently serves more than 900 nonprofit organizations and institutions of higher education.
The company, which employs more than 500 full-time staff throughout the United States, Canada and Australia, recently announced plans to move into a new 88,000-square-foot-facility near the Kirkwood Community College campus early next year and grow to 800 full-time staff over the next few years. It plans to hire in the areas of software development, project management, data management and graphic design, as well as various client and corporate support positions (read here).
