payvia, a Los Angeles, CA-based mobile and online payments company, acquired Mogreet, a Venice, California-based provider of mobile video and rich media messaging engagement solutions.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. Following the acquisition, the Mogreet team will join payvia, with Founder and CEO James Citron serving as payvia’s Chief Marketing Officer.
Founded in 2006 and venture-backed (read here), Mogreet is a cloud-based communications platform that enables businesses to engage with their mobile consumers using rich media, video and text messaging. It will be integrated into payvia’s mobile payments platform and the API will become a core component of the payvia payments API.
The company’s products also include:
– an Enterprise CRM platform,
– a small business marketing platform used by small businesses to deliver MMS, and
– a developer toolkit enabling developers to integrate Mogreet’s proprietary technology into their applications.
