DocuTAP Raises $11.9M in Series B Funding

DocuTAP, a Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based provider of an integrated EHR (electronic health records) and practice management technology for urgent care providers, raised $11.9m in Series B funding.

Backers included Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) and existing investor Bluff Point Associates (BPA).

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate sales, and improve their technology.

Founded in 2000 by Eric McDonald, CEO, DocuTAP provides administrators, nurses, and physicians with EHR and practice management software to digitalize urgent care clinic processes. The company’s web-based platform, which which can be used directly on mobile tablets, offers customizable templates, automated analytics, reporting information and revenue cycle services for billing and collections.
