Workfolio Raises $700K in Funding

Workfolio, a New York and Detroit-based application that allows professionals to tell their stories with distinctive websites, raised $700K in funding.

Backers included unnamed angel investors.

The company intends to use the capital to continue to develop its app, just launched in beta.

Founded by CEO Charles Pooley, and also led by CTO Aaron Smyth, and partners Dave Hill and John Himmelspach.
is advancing Workfolio.com, an application which helps people create professionals their own websites.
Features include integration with social network profiles, an interactive career timeline, a professional blog, public file hosting, traffic analytics, custom email accounts, and promotional tools.
Plans start at $8.50 per month and include a free custom domain.

Advisors include Andy Kaslow, former board member of TheLadders, Matt Parsons, Vice President at ADP, and Jeannette McClennan, founding member of MapQuest, among others.
