MBA & Company Raises £800K in Funding

MBA & Company, a London, UK, and New York, NY-based digital talent marketplace, raised £800k in funding.

The round was led by MMC Ventures, with participation from Piton Capital, and existing investor Cabiedes.

The company intends to use the capital to enhance the platform and grow sales and marketing.

MBA & Co also added David Kelly, formerly COO of eBay and Lastminute.com, as Chairman, and Aleksi Asikainan, the founder of Madbid.com, as CTO.

Founded in 2009 by Daniel Callaghan and Adam Riccoboni, MBA & Company provides both corporates and SMBs with access to high-end advisory and research work, through an online network of highly qualified freelance consultants. The digital marketplace has attracted over 16,000 independent professionals, each with at least five years’ professional experience plus an MBA, MSc or PhD from a world leading business school, from more than 100 countries.
Clients include individual entrepreneurs, start-ups, FTSE 100, and Fortune 500 businesses in more than 50 countries and spanning 40 industries. Projects costs range from £100 to £250k+.
