Fashion Project Closes $1.8M Seed Funding Round

Fashion Project, a Boston, MA-based operator of online second-hand apparel market that allows charities to raise money, closed a $1.8m seed funding round.

Backers included Atlas Ventures, High Peak Ventures, Schooner Capital, and other angels.

The company intends to use the funds to improve the platform and expand operations.

Co-founded by CEO Anna Palmer and COO Christine Rizk, Fashion Project operates a store that allows women to donate their high-end designer products and select the charity they want to use. Shoppers buy items, and the majority of sales (60%) goes to charity.
Fashion Project, a recent TechStars Boston graduate, keeps the remaining 40%.
