Compound Semiconductor Technologies Global Receives £1.7M in Funding

Compound Semiconductor Technologies Global (CST), a Hamilton, UK-based business that provides semiconductor foundry and custom services, received £1.7m in financing.

The funds were provided by the Scottish Loan Fund, managed by Maven Capital Partners.

The company intends to use the proceeds to acquire new equipment which will enable it to bring more parts of the production process in-house, rather than outsourcing, and will allow CST to expand its product base.

Led by Neil Martin, Compound Semiconductor Technologies Global specializes in the design, development and manufacture of discrete and integrated III-V opto-electronic devices.
Founded in 1999, the company has provided specialist foundry services to clients in the Telecommunications, Defence, Medical and Instrumentation markets in UK, US, Europe and Japan.
