bookshout!, a Dallas-based provider of a digital book distribution and engagement platform, raised $6m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Ambassador Enterprises.
The company intends to use the capital to expand its platform.
Led by Jason Illian, CEO, bookshout! provides a digital book distribution and engagement platform, which allows authors and publishers to make the e-book experience more collaborative. The platform, which currently features more than 250 publishers and 100,000 books accessible via iPad, iPhone, Android, Kindle Fire HD or the web, recently released support for publishers and authors to sell digital books at events, conferences, book tours and other group activities.
