AppCampus and Wayra Team Up to Support Windows Phone Apps and Services

AppCampus, a global mobile application development program led by Aalto University, Finland, has signed a collaboration agreement with Wayra, Telefonica’s international Internet and the new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) accelerator.

Funded by Microsoft Corp and Nokia, AppCampus provides select startups with awards from €20k, €50k and €70k, training in mobile technology, design and usability, coaching and marketing support.

AppCampus and Wayra will now collaborate with startups in countries where the accelerator has presence (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Spain, Ireland, Germany, México, Peru, the United Kingdom and Venezuela) to support entrepreneurs interested in the development of Windows Phone apps and services. The aim of the deal is to collaborate in the growth and relevance of the mobile ecosystem, leveraging AppCampus expertise on the Windows Phone platform through funding and encouraging innovation hubs to develop skills of the local developers and learn about growth markets, challenges, opportunities and explore cross-border opportunities.
