3scale, a San Francisco, CA- and Barcelona, Spain-based provider of API Management solutions, raised $4.2m in funding.
Backers included Javelin Venture Partners and Costanoa Venture Capital.
The company intends to use the capital to broaden its services and bring it globally audience.
Founded in 2007 by Steven Willmott (Ph.D.), CEO, 3scale provides a Plug & Play SaaS API Management platform and infrastructure enabling developers and companies to open, control, manage, operate and monetize their API to 3rd parties (e.g. developers, business partners, etc).
Customers range from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses and technology start-ups, including Skype, FlightStats, Wine.com, 1WorldSync, SITA, PagesJaunes.fr (French YellowPages), FullContact and Yummly.
The company is hiring in San Francisco and Barcelona.
