Red Hot Labs Raises $1.5M in Seed Funding

Red Hot Labs, a San Francisco, CA-based gaming development startup, raised $1.5 million in seed funding.

Backers included Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, SV Angel, General Catalyst Partners, Japan’s IT-Farm and private individuals Keith Rabois, Chris Dixon, Bill Tai, Charles Huang and Kai Huang.

Founded by Amitt Mahajan and Joel Poloney, two ex-Zynga engineers behind FarmVille, the startup is building products for mobile and the mobile ecosystem.
The company intends to use the funding for mobile games and technology development.
