PixelPin Raises £150K in Equity Crowdfunding

PixelPin, a London, UK-based cyber-security company, raised £150k in equity crowdfunding.

193 investors backed the company via Seedrs.

This is the second crowdfunding round for PixelPin, which had raised £55k through CrowdCube in April 2012 (read here). The company also received £250k from the Technology Strategy Board and an award from Telefonica’s Wayra startup scheme.

Founded by Brian Taylor and Geoff Anderson, PixelPin uses a new approach to online authentication by leveraging personal pictures to replace passwords making it easier and more secure to login to mobile devices and tablets (read here more about the product).
