Knok, a Barcelona, Spain-based company that operates an online home swap community, raised €500k in funding.
Backers include undisclosed Spanish private investors.
The company intends to use the capital to continue to grow operations and expand globally.
Founded in 2011 and led by CEO Juanjo Rodriguez, Knok is a home-exchange community that leverages a search algorithm to help users find exchange partners that share their lifestyle. It also offers an insurance that covers members home while swapping and integrates Facebook to discover social connections.
Knok already has over 20,000 members in 159 countries.
