Handshakez, an Austin, Texas-based provider of a collaboration and analytics platform, closed $3.6m Series A venture capital financing.
The round was led by Austin Ventures with participation from First Round Capital, FLOODGATE, CrunchFund, Valhalla Partners and Thinktiv.
Led by CEO Jason Wesbecher, Scott Brittain, and Michael Osborne, Handshakez offers a collaboration and analytics platform that aims to bring business relationships out of email and into private collaborative spaces, improving transparency and engagement.
It features curated rich media assets including presentations, financial models, whitepapers, videos and news items; social interactions including activity streams, @mentions, comments, polls, pre-built integration with enterprise tools including Microsoft Outlook and Salesforce.com, as well as analytics tools that determine the levels of engagement.
The company is launching with 50 clients live including Corel, Punchh, and AlterPoint.
