Geofusion Receives Equity Investment

Geofusion, a Sao Paolo, Brazil-based provider of a geomarketing platform, received an equity investment of undisclosed amount.

Backers included Intel Capital and original investor Criatec, managed by SP Ventures.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the proceeds to expand its go-to-market capability and expand its sales and marketing teams.

Founded in 1996 and led by Pedro Figoli, CEO, Geofusion provides enterprise customers of all sizes across a variety of industry verticals with OnMaps, a cloud-based geographic data-based market intelligence, analytics and decision support platform.
OnMap combines geographic data with relevant market information, such as industry specific consumption statistics and census-based demographics, offering a suite of updated social, demographic and market information via a graphically rich web interface. The platform is able to deliver value by combining maps of over 5,000 Brazilian cities with relevant information from over 250 external databases from both public and private sources.

The company currently serves more than 200 customers in Brazil primarily in the retail, food service, real estate, education and industrial segments. Customers include McDonalds, Boticario and Coca-Cola.

Geofusion currently has approximately 60 employees.
