DeveloperAuction Raises $2.7M in First Funding

DeveloperAuction, a San Francisco, CA-based startup that operates a web platform where companies can bid for developers, raised $2.7m in their first funding.

The round was led by NEA and Sierra Ventures, with participation from Google Ventures, SoftTech VC, Crosslink Capital and Step Partners.

Led by Matt Mickiewicz, CEO, Douglas Feirstein, and Allan Grant, the company aims to provide a more efficient way for talented developers to get exposed to job opportunities at VC-backed tech companies and get paid what they’re worth through a competitive bidding process.
DeveloperAuction allows startups (all pre-qualified through AngelList) to bid on developers who are looking for work during a first two-week auction.
A developer can receive 5/15+ job offers during any auction.
