According to the company’s blog (read here) Warply, an Athens, Greece-based provider of a mobile marketing toolbox, raised $500k in seed funding.
Unnamed angel investors backed the company.
The company intends to use the funding to build out its executive team and expand in new markets beyond South Europe. Warply aims at expanding in the USA, Germany, in the UK, in Latin America and Brasil.
Led by Dimitris Togias, CTO, and John Doxaras, CEO, Warply provides a cloud based mobile marketing toolbox, which is designed to enable brands and developers to directly send interactive mobile marketing campaigns to their customer base via push notifications.
The company recently expanded the team with Sixto Arias, a serial entrepreneur (founder of Mobext), who joined the Board of Directors as an advisor, and Kartik Ram as Head of Business Development.
