Venuemob Raises $450K in Seed Funding

Venuemob, a Melbourne, Australia startup that provides a service to help people find function venues and event venues in Australia, raised $450k in seed funding.

The round was led by Optus Innov8, a subsidiary of Singaporean telecommunications company, Singtel.

The startup intends to use the capital to grow the service.

Co-founded by Ying Wang and David Wei, Venuemob aims to help people find venues for parties, engagements and corporate events. The website currently offers a network of more than 400 function rooms from businesses including ranging from restaurants, galleries and bars in Melbourne and Sydney. It also features a personalized concierge service to assist first time event planners locate the venue in the best possible way.
