Veduca Receives Funding from Macmillan Digital Education

Veduca, a Brasilian provider of an online video platform that aggregates and curates educational content, received an investment from Macmillan Digital Education.

The amount was not disclosed.

Led by founder and CEO Carlos Souza, Veduca offers free video content from lectures from a wide range of subjects from some of the world’s top universities, including MIT, Harvard, Yale & Princeton. Content is shown in their original English language format, with subtitles in Portuguese. Users can leave comments, rate lectures, create a favourites’ playlist, help to translate the content to Portuguese.

The company has already been supported by VC firms 500 Startups and Mountain do Brasil.
