Ravello Systems Closes Second Funding Round

Ravello Systems, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of a Cloud Application Hypervisor, closed a second round of funding.

The investment brings the total amount of funds raised by the company to date to $26m.

Backers included Sequoia Capital, Norwest Venture Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Rami Tamir and President and Chairman Benny Schnaider and also led by Navin R. Thadani (SVP, Products), Ravello Systems provides a Cloud Application Hypervisor which enables developers, devops and IT to use the resources of the public cloud to develop and test their applications. It allows enterprises to encapsulate their multi-VM applications and run them anywhere – on-premise or in any cloud – without making any changes, and thereby implement a true hybrid cloud.

The company released its service in public beta.
