Polar, a Los Gatos, CA-based developer of an app that allows users to collect and share opinions, raised $1.2m in seed funding, reports said.
Backers included Battery Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, Greylock Partners, Maynard Webb, Morado Ventures, as well as individual investors.
The company intends to use the capital to hire new people beyond co-founders and develop the product.
Co-founded by Jeff Cole and Luke Wroblewski, Polar provides an iPhone app that allows users to ask people for their opinions on photos about fashion, film, food, sports, etc.
Launched in November, the app is available for iPhone (click here).
